Oakworth riven Yorkstone paving is extracted from the top layers of the quarry, it has incredible amounts of character and many colour variations from light buff to a dark grey. The darker colours are formed when peat seeps inside the blocks and stains the natural riven faces of the paving stones. This formation ensures that every paving stone is unique. Free samples are available on request.

New Riven Yorkstone paving is a premium product, each flag is made by hand by our highly skilled stone masons using century old techniques. Each piece is completely unique and has its own character formed over millions of years.

Once our stone masons have split and formed flags 600mm in width by random lengths, each flag is sawn with a mechanical saw to create a smooth perfectly straight edge. This finish is contemporary and would suit a more modern landscaping design.
